Works as: Mil-Spec Castle Nut Wrench, Standard Length Receiver Extension Removal Wrench, A1/A2 Flash Suppressor Wrench
Manufactured from heat treated steel
Manganese Phosphate Finish
Designed to install and uninstall a carbine style buttstock nut, this Stock Wrench contacts the castle nut securely in three notches to ensure a smooth and uniform installation. This tool also provides a boxed end wrench for removing the fixed stock receiver extensions (buffer tubes) found on full size rifles, and an A1/A2 flash suppressor wrench. Manufactured from steel with a soft rubber handle, this tool will provide you with years of use. Length: 8 Inches , Weight: 4.7 oz
The thin design helps secure the castle nut and the wrench fits perfect
It works just fine. (I used mine to replace the existing buffer/collapsible stock on an AR15 'lower' as I was replacing the existing 'upper' AR15 carbine (16" barrel) with an AR15 rifle (20" barrel) and the longer gas assembly calls-for a different buffer.) The wrench is plenty robust for its intended use. For my application (removing an un-staked castle-nut) I used a rubber-headed mallet to loosen-up the nut and the cushioned-grip of the wrench was not damaged.
