Upgrade your SIG Sauer pistol with this premium ADE RD3-028 red dot + optic mounting plate — engineered for a precise fit and rock-solid stability. Designed to work seamlessly with SIG Sauer P226, P2022, P228, and P229 models, this mounting plate delivers reliable alignment and secure optic placement.
ADE RD3-028 Ares Pro features a Motion Activated Illumination System. When the optic is turned on, the red-dot automatically enters sleep mode after 5 minutes of no movement. The moment motion or vibration is detected, it instantly wakes up and returns to the previous brightness level. Users may also manually power the sight OFF to disable the motion-activation function if preferred.
The Ares Pro is longer than traditional micro red dots, which means it is only compatible with optic plates mounted above the slide (typically plates that replace the rear sight).
It does NOT fit into pistol slides with a milled optic cut, as those cuts are designed for shorter, standard-length red dots.
Dimensions: 1.84" (L) x 1.30" (W) x 1.15" (H).
The Ares Pro also includes a removable Weather Shield designed to protect the optic from rain, snow, and moisture while maintaining a clear sight picture in harsh conditions. The shield stays firmly attached even when mounted on a pistol.

Solid, No-Frills Mounting Plate
This isn’t fancy, but it works. Took a little patience to align everything, but the end result is excellent. Sight sits flush and sturdy. Great budget-friendly way to get a red dot on your Sig without a slide cut.

Perfect Companion to My Reflex Dot
I’m running a low-profile reflex with this mount on my P228. The combo has been very reliable, zero holds well and recoil hasn’t shifted anything. It’s a very nice, solid mounting solution for the price.

Be Sure to Check Fitment
This plate was perfect for my use, but be sure you know what you’re buying — it does not fit milled slides designed for shorter micro dots. Optics Factory Once I understood that, installation was straightforward and repeatable.

Great Plate, Just Know Your Slide Type
