    Sr9 mount

Posted by David Yoder on 4th Jan 2022

The sight itself seems to work as is should. The mounting plate is what I have issues with. The main problem is that the dovetail is not the correct angle. Once installed, the only thing holding is the tip of the slot on the gun. I could see light all the way around the dovetail. I think that will fail eventually, and not really sure it will hold true without it being in the slot correctly. The other issue is the slot for the "loaded" indicator, it is not centered on the plate. So if you put the slot where it should be on the indicator, then the mount is no where near centered on the barrel. But the indicator does not seem to hit the plate anyway, so I moved the plate to be centered on the barrel as it should be. I was able to sight it in, but have not shot enough to be confident it will hold true. I will always have in the back of my mind it will not hold true, due to the improper fit of the mount. I was going to put this on my other SR9 and SR40, but not sure I will because if this issue.
