Mossberg 500 535 835, Maverick 88, 12 20 Gauge Shotgun Pistol Grip

I wanted to like this, but the recoil with just a pistol grip is pretty rough. After about 25 rounds of buckshot my wrist was done. The product itself seems solid, just not comfortable for extended shooting.

I’ve always been a traditional stock guy, so switching to a pistol grip was a big change for me. At first it felt awkward, especially the recoil coming more into the wrist than the shoulder. After a couple magazines, I started adjusting my grip and stance. Once I got used to it, it actually became pretty controllable. Not as comfortable as a full stock, but definitely more compact. Overall, I’d say this is great for specific use cases like storage or close quarters. Just don’t expect it to feel like a hunting setup.

People saying pistol grips hurt your wrist aren’t wrong, but it depends how you hold it. With proper stance it’s fine. I’ve put about 200 rounds through it so far and it’s holding up great.

Bought mainly for the look, not gonna lie. But after installing it, I actually like the feel too. Grip texture is good and doesn’t slip even with sweaty hands.

Swapped out my factory stock for this on a Maverick 88. Fit right up, no issues. Makes the gun more compact and easier to store. Worth the price.

Well, I like to buy products from the USA when possible, and the description said it was... However, when I received the grip, the bag containing the grip was marked 'made in china' . That being said, it fit on my Mossberg 500A easily, no problem with the retaining bolt provided. I added a buffer tube and adjustable AR stock and it is quite an improvement over just a pistol grip alone. Four stars instead of five for the china switch, but five stars to optics factory for the fast and Free shipping. Inexpensive but it does the job.....just wish the manufacturing was in this country...we need it, they don't.
