Effective and Quick Upgrade
Swapped out the steel buttplate on my M44 carbine in about 10 minutes. The rubber absorbs a fair amount of felt recoil, and I like that it didn’t require any modification to my rifle. Makes shooting surplus ammo more comfortable.

Good Value for a Simple Solution
I didn’t want to redo the whole stock or buy an aftermarket Monte Carlo style stock, so this was a good compromise. It adds length of pull and softens recoil enough that my shoulder wasn’t bruised after plinking. Not a miracle pad, but a very practical one.

Doesn’t Feel Cheap, Just Firm
I expected a super soft rubber pad, but this one is firm and rugged. That’s not a bad thing — it just means it’ll last. Setup was straightforward and didn’t require any drilling. Recoil is still there, of course, but it’s much easier to deal with on longer range days.

Makes a Big Old Rifle Easier to Shoot
A simple upgrade that makes a classic rifle much more user-friendly. My 91/30 kicks pretty hard in stock configuration, but with this butt pad the recoil is noticeably less sharp on my shoulder. It’s not a plush pad, but it gets the job done without any gunsmithing.

Better Fit for Taller Shooters
I’ve always found the Mosin Nagant stock a bit cramped for my long arms. This pad added just enough length to make it feel more natural and less jarring on recoil. The smell at first was noticeable, but it faded after a couple range trips.

Easy Install but Hard Rubber
Installation was a breeze — just used the factory buttplate screws. The pad is pretty firm, almost hard rubber, so don’t expect a super cushioned feel like a modern rifle recoil pad. Still, it’s better than steel, and adding a bit of length helped my bigger frame shoulder the rifle more comfortably.

Surprising Comfort Boost
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but once this rubber pad went on my rifle, my shoulder didn’t feel like it did after shooting without a pad. It’s firmer rubber, not super squishy, but it absorbs a good chunk of recoil compared to the original steel plate. Makes longer range sessions more tolerable.

Finally Comfortable Shooting My 91/30
I added this butt pad to my Mosin 91/30 and it made a noticeable difference. The extra inch of length of pull helped with shoulder placement, and while it didn’t completely eliminate recoil, it definitely softened the sting from the bare steel plate. Installation was simple — just remove the old plate and screw it on.

Product quality
So the length of pull given was very adequate however unfortunately that's where the good stops, the holes that your supposed to put the plate screws threw is not correctly placed and caused severe stripping on the threads of my rifle despite my best efforts. Ps the pad smells horrible but that's not a big deal. So that being said I gotta get a 200$ fix now because of the pad
