5.0 out of 5 stars Solid of 50 bmg

Posted by David Paul on 23rd Sep 2025

I purchased one in 2021 and have had zero complaints. Back then it was significantly more expensive. Not sure what thats all about. It has been mounted on a 50 bmg since purchased and zero has not wandered a bit! Focus has not varied shot to shot either. This scope was recommended by fellow bmg enthusiasts as a robust and reliable option and I will say it is living up to reputation. Its not a Nightforce but it is not priced like one either. 6-700 yds sub MOA every bang!

    Excellent Scope

Posted by F. Allen on 23rd Sep 2025

I have four of these scopes, my opinion, is that they are as good as a Vortex scope. My son has the Viper by Vortex, we both qualified at 1000 yards, this scope has very clear glass, at 1000 yards I was looking at the target at 18 power but have used it at 24 power he was doing the same, his scope is a 6-24x50 also. The clicks are very crisp and precise, my older scope didn't have a zero stop, but I fixed that by inserting a metal washer under the elevation knob, the plastic washers did not work for me. To reiterate these scopes are as good as Vortex Viper, you can't go wrong with this scope, just know your dope and the scope will do the rest. Plus, the scope has a Lifetime Warranty.

This thing is awesome punches way above its weight class, very clear and precise, easy to adjust, eye relief could be better, looks very premium, solid

Not bad for a budget scope

Posted by Drew on 23rd Sep 2025

For the price this thing is great. I took a vortex pst gen 2 off my rifle knowing how well it groups with a good scope and slapped this one on to compare. Shoots the same groups. Only downside is the field of view is significantly smaller than a better quality scope. Glass is clear. The reticle is good. I don’t like the center crosshair it’s way too large and if you’re trying to be precise like I am it might cover the whole target. At 1k yards the center cross covers a clay pigeon or soda can at 1k yards. I didn’t understand how to set up the turret at the range as I sighted one the rifle set the zero stop and went to dial for 1k and it only went to 8moa and stopped. I actually had to take off the turret and spin the black piece to the other side and reinstall the turret for me to be able to dial correctly. I didn’t read the manual so DONT take it out on the scope for my negligence lol. My howa 1500 6mm creedmoor with 20moa base I can dial up to 60moa of elevation and hold over the rest. Overall it’s a great budget scope for the price just don’t compare it to something more expensive. The zero stop is an awesome feature for the price it’s a true zero stop not the hard to set shims like old vortex scopes. The turret clicks are super tactical and crisp not soft and mushy like I thought they would be. I have a vortex diamondback tactical and although In terms of optical clarity I might lean towards the vortex scope but everything else this scope is twice as good as the vortex. I don’t think any scope on the market will compare to this scope at the price it is

Sharp glass that holds a zero well

Posted by Kerry on 23rd Sep 2025

I mounted this on my FX Impact M4 air rifle, .22 cal. This is certainly not a rifle with harsh recoil, but it is a rifle that demands an accurate scope with parallax adjustment that goes down to 10 yards. This does the job well. My target looks very large at 50 yards, and the image is sharp and clear. It is easy to zero as the point-of-impact offset is easily measured using the mil reticle. The adjustment turrets seem to adjust as specified... 1 mil on the reticle is 1 mil adjustment on the turrets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing scope for price

Posted by Fernando Chavez on 23rd Sep 2025

I’ve shot about 400 rounds so far out of my 30-06 and still holds true, battery dies a little fast but other than that I recommend it as a starter scope. Eye relief could be better though

What an amazing optic for the price!

Posted by Dewey cox on 23rd Sep 2025

Like most people, I bought this scope for one of my rifles. I'm afraid that I need to go find a new rifle just for this scope though. It completely outclasses my gun unfortunately lol. I'm not complaining by any means. For the price of this optic you get a whole heck of a lot on this thing! The perks and features are endless... , illuminated reticle, MOA or MIL options, parallax adjustment, BIG open turrets that are super easy to dial on, it's all there on this thing and it's not skimping on quality and durability in any way. This scope has $1k quality and it's well under $300, you just can't beat it imo. I've always been a Leupold and Vortex guy, this is my first Athlon, definitely will not be my last. One of the best bang-for-your-buck items I've ever bought. HIGHLY satisfied with this product in every aspect possible. Not a single disappointment found so far.

Great scope for the price range

Posted by Gman on 23rd Sep 2025

I have been a Nikon fan for years. Now that they have stopped manufacturing rifle scopes I have become a Burris fan and I have played around with Vortex. I have watched a number of reviews on this scope and thought it would be good to try. I am not disappointed. The clarity of this scope is good but not excellent, With it probably close to clarity of a Vortex crossfire. Definitely better than Bushnell banner or other similar scopes. The target knobs are very tactile with positive clicks. The adjustments are accurate with 10 clicks up and 10 clicks down returning to zero. Eye relief is good at about 3-1/2”. That is plenty for most rifles. Mine came with scope caps. That’s something that scopes twice the price don’t offer. The scope is definitely built for a bench rifle. It is solid and heavy. For the price I would recommend for sure. However, if your budget allows, there are certainly some better option for twice the price.

    5-20×50 scope

This is a really good scope, love the turrets. Installed on my 24" 6.5 grendel and I am very pleased. Don't forget to pick up a cantilever scope mount from these guys, the mount is super solid ?
