    Illuminated crosshairs

Posted by Unappreciated american on 4th Oct 2025

Love the reticle, easy to use, a little busy but works well to 500. Glass is good but disorded on the edges. Center numbers are back off the cross hairs

    Clear optics

Posted by Edward Sheppard on 4th Oct 2025

The clarity of the optics is very good. The crosshairs could be a bit darker. It’s a little difficult making the crosshairs out when there is a dark background.

    300 yards with a 22lr made easy

Posted by RJ on 4th Oct 2025

What a fantastic scope for the price. tracking is dead on and has enough M.O.A to get a 22lr out to 300 yards. I plan on buying more optics from them.

    Great but also big heavy

Posted by Anon on 4th Oct 2025

Very well made, well crafted, sturdy scope with very clear glass. the turrets are awesome they both feel and sound great to turn. Very audible clicks when turning the turrets. The only thing is that it's very big and heavy which is to be expected when you looks at the listed dimensions and weight but sometimes you can underestimate numbers until you get hands on with it. Definitely meant for bigger rifles as under recoil on my smaller Remington 700 it completely stripped the screws on my scope base (potentially because I didn't use enough Loctite). Not necessarily a bad thing about the scope but just something to keep in mind.

    Good for the money

Posted by T Foland on 4th Oct 2025

The scope is good for the money. Like most cheaper options in FFP the crosshairs are not very usable at low power and they are fine and get lost in the background or if you focus on the crosshairs you lose sight of the background. The scope is very heavy.

    Real nice for the cost

    Posted by 2Armor on 4th Oct 2025

I just got this scope and I'm impressed for under $100. This thing is massive with a 34mm main tube & 50mm OBj, huge turrets, very precise, clear glass, busy but nice FFP reticle, nice illumination, very well made with a nice finish for a China scope. They have REALLY updated their game in optics in the last 3 years. I'm normally a $500 plus Leupold buyer, but I wanted to try this out on my Bear Creek Arsenal 22mag and its perfect for this 150yd gun. The mount is very nice too but its no QD. Rings and base attach with very large screws, T25. Most scopes are T15 or maybe T20. Make sure you follow ALL 18 in lb torque specs or you can damage the scopes tube. Most people over tighten screws big time. This scope is rather short in length for as huge as it is. It does come with a 4" OBJ Sun Shade too which I did install. I may get another one as these as they are great value for range plinkers that need all the goodies this scope has. Its a great unit so far, but I would not use it on my main SHT guns.

    Great scope especially on sale

Posted by Raymond Millsap on 4th Oct 2025

Just mounted this scope to my Taipan vetran long. For this price clarity of glass and options such as zero stop, big turrets. This scope is really a good scope. If you're thinking about it. Just buy it already. I have a sniper vtr scope 4.7x 29-56 which was 399. The eye relief, options and reticle are better on this arken scope at half the price.

    The Beast...!!!

Posted by blackhorseveteran on 3rd Oct 2025

This scope is a beast. I've never had a scope with 34mm tube. The edge to edge crispness is unbelievable. The turrets feel, and click very nicely. I can't wait to put it on one of my rifles, and test it out, but from what I've read on these...I will be a happy camper.

    Great scope!!

Posted by Freedz on 3rd Oct 2025

These are amazing for their price! Unless you're a complete glass snob, it's super clear. Dials are great. Holds zero great. Build quality seems top notch. The reticle is fantastic and could be my favorite thing about it. The only thing I could possibly knock it for is that it's heavy but that doesn't bother me. Maybe 8 - 16 ounces more than similar scopes. I can deal with that for the quality to price ratio.

    Very good rifle scope

Posted by Mr. Noone on 3rd Oct 2025

I like this scope and it performs well for me. I am primarily a hunter...and my biggest challenge is coyotes at mid- to long-range. I do shoot steel occassionally, too. I have several scopes of this model mounted on a 22-250 (24" barrel), a 308 Winchester (22" barrel), and a 30-06 Springfield (22" barrel). They all perform perfectly for me. Can I find a few insignificant faults? Probably. But I'd prefer to look at the positive side...great support, great warranty, they are big and heavy, and they take a beating and keep on working. That's all I need. If I break one, I can easily replace it.

Old age, meeness however you put it I don't see like i did in my 20s'. I have used all the optics that my budget can afford as well as "bucket list " ones that I really couldn't have afforded. I found Arken in a web search a few years ago and have never been disappointed. Ther are heavy compared to others but the light gathering advantage is noticeable to me. I enjoy shooting medium range 600 - 1k. These fit the requirement on all my .30 cal. rifles.

Posted by Mike on 3rd Oct 2025

Ok yall, I've hunted my entire life but after losing my leg to covid I now do long range precision shooting as my hobby. The scope you choose has to have accurate adjustable turrets and handle 100's if not 1000's of rounds in a day. This Arken performed so well that I ordered his big brother with Japanese glass. So far I've been so impressed that I'm ordering 2 more Arken scopes next week. Every rifle I own will have an Arken scope mounted on it. They are the absolute best scopes I've ever used, period.

Very Impressed with Quality and with price

Posted by Ann on 30th Sep 2025

I have standardized most of my rifles on Vortex. On the high end stuff they are amazing but pricy. I have found that the lower end of these scopes are not the same quality. I was not familiar with the Arken Scopes and saw some good reviews. I have two high end PCP air rifles and one RPR 22 that needed optics at least the quality of the rifles. Wow! I was not disappointed. These scopes come out of the box impressive and the eye relief is amazing and the quality of the glass is as nice as the mid range Vortex that i have. These scopes focus at close range witch can be a problem with home ranges and adjust to long range flawlessly. There a little heavy but for table target shoots perfect. You will not be disappointed with this scope.

Bought before. Paired before; with a matching brand "Arken Optics Rigid Precision Scope Mount 0 MOA Cantilever Picatinny Lightweight Rifle Scope Mount ." This one is to be mounted on a similar high power bolt action rifle. The first went on a .300 Win. Mag. This picatinny scope mount will be on a bolt action, 6.5 PRC. I will continue to purchase "ADE Products." I would buy from this seller again.

The glass is very clear. The etching was aligned properly and was also clear. I have two older Leupolds that aren't as clear. I guess eventually we reach a point in technology where a Premium state in manufacturing can be achieved for less and less money. This companies' scopes are reaping those benefits. Hard to beat Vortex's guarantees or warranties, but this company is attempting to create that level of satisfaction for it's customers. I'm very happy with my purchase. I will definitely purchase more when I need to.

This is a great scope, put it on my daughters Marlin 60 .22 with a good pair of dove tail ring mounts . Zero in after 5 shots , then she put at least 300 down range at 25 yards with CCI ammo.I did have One problem will warn about- the Rectal was stuck and had to run the turret from right to left to max several times before it came into center. Just beware , if you have heard of people tapping on there scope to insure the rectal moves this only happened out of the box, hope it never happens again only time will tell with different yardages. WILL update if happens again.

Posted by Kevin t. on 28th Sep 2025

It's not the product I dislike it's people that say things that they know nothing about. Like reticle falling off .lol that's impossible with athlon rifle scopes as the reticle is etched into the glass so please make truthfull comments!

Great scope for price and features.

Posted by Kindle Customer on 28th Sep 2025

So far this scope has proven itself. Bought 2 Athlon Talos 4-16x40 scopes with the intent on putting one on a .223 and the other on a .308, however I just purchased a 35 Whelen and mounted one on it and the other on the .308. So far I am happy with both. I have only ran 20 rounds through each so far, but seems to holding up well with the recoil on both. The glass is great and the illuminated reticle and side parralax adjustments are a plus. After going into a store and looking through both an Athlon scope and a Vortex scope, I decided to go with the Athlon. IMO, there wasn't much difference between the two and the added bells and whistles of the Athlon sold me. Just my 2 cents.

    excellent start

Posted by StarvinMarvin on 28th Sep 2025

Packaged nice; fairly comprehensive owner's manual, construction seems tight and solid, metal turret caps work great. Adjustments were easy. Very distinct clicks w no play in between and recticles respond very evenly. The "zero" function works great but is still about as tedious to set as with any other scope. I keep mine just about permanently at 14X and the field is very clear, focused, bright, no halos or fringing. Eye relief is perfect for my Howa 1500 with room to spare either way. I'm using it only at the range in a 223 with a heavy barrel, so I don't suppose I'll be putting its durability to recoil or exposure to weather and hunting to the test. I bought it almost exclusively for the magnification and the reviews. After 3 trips to the range and about 250 rds, none of the adjustments have slipped. It's sighted exactly where i left off from the last trip. Lovin' this scope so far.

Athlon Talos 4-16x40mm Mil Dot Excellent Scope!

Posted by Robert F. on 28th Sep 2025

This is a great scope for the money! It has very good glass. The side focus and power adjuster were stiff at first but loosened up a bit with use. I'm sure over time they will improve even more. I mounted this scope in a Benjamin Marauder .25 Synthetic Stock with medium height rings. A perfect fit. Make sure you adjust your fast focus eyepiece. One thing I really like is the reticle is not too thin. I have other high end scopes that have better quality glass, but the reticle is so thin it is so easy to lose it when trying to focus on something in brush or in the forest. If you are shooting at antelope on the open range with a fine reticle in Wyoming, then it's not a issue. Not a problem with this scope. It rocks! Big time! This a perfect scope for my Marauder. Get one of these scopes. You will be glad you did.

Posted by Mark Fields on 28th Sep 2025

Excellent optic for what it is. If you're expecting an $800 scope, you'll be disappointed. If you're expecting a functional scope that works well out to 300 yds or so, and your fine with a second focal plain reticle, there's no reason not to like this scope.

    Tentative 5 star although...

Posted by Wylie Wiggins on 28th Sep 2025

For the price this is a nice scope, clear glass through a wide range of magnification, construction..., although being limited to full magnification for use of the BDC reticle is something a few manufacturers have attended to pre-production, unlike Athlon. I've been in contact with Athlon regarding BDC reticles and ranging differences in varying calibers, powder charges, velocities.... The 5 stars are for what has been versed to me as an effort at a means of a needed, IMHO calibration of the Bullet Drop Compensation reticle for different calibers, velocities, bullet BCs... at varying magnifications. Although I haven't checked back in with them, they're getting the benefit of the doubt, being they have a reputation as a reputable company. I was given a projected date of September of this year, 2024 for a BDC magnification calculator of some from not clarified to me, this isn't a small task so we may have to be patient. Update: Good morning sir. This is still in the process of being developed sir. We should have it developed by the first of the year.

    Nice scope for range use

Posted by Tyler Courtney on 28th Sep 2025

Really nice scope. It was super easy to adjust and dial in. Using this on a KIDD 10/22 for bench rest, so i can’t speak to field use, but for my application it’s perfect and I’m planning to buy another for my next build. Glass clarity is great, but you also have to remember this isn’t top tier like some of the real high end stuff on the market. That said, it doesn’t and wouldn’t deter me in the least.

Excellent scope especially for the price, can easily see 22 caliber holes in paper targets at 100 yards. Holds zero and clarity is good too

    High quality scope

I’m not a crazy hunter. Only go shooting a couple times a year. Never had any issues with this scope. Easy to adjust and install. I’d buy it again if I ever needed another scope.

This is a great scope, put it on my daughters Marlin 60

This is a great scope, put it on my daughters Marlin 60 .22 with a good pair of dove tail ring mounts . Zero in after 5 shots , then she put at least 300 down range at 25 yards with CCI ammo.I did have One problem will warn about- the Rectal was stuck and had to run the turret from right to left to max several times before it came into center. Just beware , if you have heard of people tapping on there scope to insure the rectal moves this only happened out of the box, hope it never happens again only time will tell with different yardages. WILL update if happens again.

Lots of scope for the money

Good scope for the money. Purchased this because it focused down to 15yds as it went on to an air rifle. No questions asked warranty and good reviews all over the net. I'm happy.

    Some people lie about products

Posted by Kevin t. on 26th Sep 2025

It's not the product I dislike it's people that say things that they know nothing about. Like reticle falling off .lol that's impossible with athlon rifle scopes as the reticle is etched into the glass so please make truthfull comments!

Great scope for price and features.

Posted by StarvinMarvin on 26th Sep 2025

    4-16x40mm Mil Dot Excellent Scope!

Posted by Robert F. on 26th Sep 2025

    Good buy for the $$

Excellent optic for what it is. If you're expecting an $800 scope, you'll be disappointed. If you're expecting a functional scope that works well out to 300 yds or so, and your fine with a second focal plain reticle, there's no reason not to like this scope.
