This is the second one of these I have purchased. Nice slim, quality, hand guard. If you’re looking for something that doesn’t feel like the cheap $80 hand guards this is it. Both rifles I have built use the superlative piston system and does clear the gas block

I love that the barrel nut is steel instead of aluminum which is not bad but chips much easier than steel. I also love the build quality of the handguard along with the re-designed anti-torque plate. All in all great value and an awesome product.

Handguard is true to it's length specs (not true for all handguards, watch out).

First off, I don’t give 5 star ratings lightly. Let’s get that out of the way now. This rail, however, does merit at least a 4.75 star rating. It’s extremely rigid, lightweight well thought out. It comes with QD points, for your sling. The built in alignment tabs, are spot on, and hold perfect center. Almost to the point where it becomes one with the upper receiver, as the seams nearly disappear. The color matches perfectly with my 2013 Colt le6920, and with my Aero Precision M4E1 receiver. I’m kind of OCD’ish, which is why I replaced a Troy Battlerail with this one. The color of the anodizing was off. It drove me nuts, lol. Finally, the only tiny hit I’ll give it, is the barrel nut. While it’s extremely lightweight, and made of a very strong metal, it’s a little hard to get a bite on, with the supplied tool. 1/4 star deduction. lol That’s it…

Tried and true, lighweight and solid mounting. You cant go wrong with midwest rails!

Pricey but works well and it works with superlative arms adj gas blocks.

Handguard is very clean and free of any burrs or rough edges. It is true to size in length. A little pricey but worth the cost.

Excellent handguard for your AR15. Quality construction and finish - looks great. Fairly light weight but strong. Comes with a barrel nut and fairly easy to install. Haven't taken it to the range yet or "out in the wild" but expect it will standup to the elements.

It came packaged nicely and was super easy to install. There is no timing required on the barrel nut and it has a great anit rotation tab solution. It's a very nice looking handguard and pretty light too. I am overall impressed with the end result and will definitely buy a another MI rail again for future builds. I highly recommend especially for what you get for the price

THE BEST FREE FLOAT HAND GUARD EVER MADE VERY RELIABLE, SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT!!

Using a 17.5” barrel in .300 blk, I wanted the longest hand guard possible without obscuring the barrel threads for muzzle device/ suppressor attachment. Using a Silencerco ASR muzzle device, this 15” hand guard gives about 1/8” space between the Silencerco Omega 300. It’s tight but doable. Had to get creative to get a wrench on the ASR but it works.

I have a number of these handguards and have found them to be excellent handguards. Great quality & finish, and a very stable mounting base for various optics, red dots, and other devices such as flashlights, lasers, etc.

I'm very satisfied with this item. For its design to be rigid and yet remain weight that it is; very well done. The manufacturing and finish is good. This product fulfilled my need and want on all aspects; and is a great value in its cost range. Well done, Midwest Industries. Seems well made does not fit flush to Silincerco upper. Will need some dremel or machine work

It’s slimmer and lighter than I expected it to be. Lots of Mlok mounting option. I’m not regretting this purchase. Was worth the 2 nights sleeping on the couch.

I was building my first piston gun with a 10.5" barrel for suppressed shooting. The superlative arms piston gas block needs more clearance than the normal hand guard. This rail was over $50 cheaper than the next available guard and it looks great and I really like the positive lock into the upper m-lock rail and 2 screw mounting system that pinches the guard onto the included barrel nut.

Overall good quality rail, lightweight, solid latch up. Four stars as the one I recieved had 3 chips/blemishes in the coating.

This fifteen inch handguard was exactly what I needed for my long range rig. Can't go wrong.

Installed this on a 8inch .300 blackout aero m4e1 upper and direct threaded a aero lahar suppressor. Only downside is it’s difficult to mount a light at the end of the 10.5inch handguard since the suppressor takes up the space where the mlok light mount inserts are supposed to go. Other than that its great and easy to install

I was working on an under-the-handguard suppressor build and needed a handguard that would match my regular Aero upper while also providing adequate clearance under the rail. Unless you select the enhanced version of Aero's upper, the Midwest Industries SP Series is an excellent choice. My Rugged Obsidian 9 CAN fit well under the rail, creating a gorgeous small package.
