Machined from aircraft grade aluminum with hard anodizing finish. Comes with screws and hardware for installation. We highly recommend DIY only if user has gunsmith experience, or hiring a gunsmith to install this optic plate. Unprofessional installation such as improper torque will result in screw loose, not holding zero, damage to the firearm/optic and personal injury.
This listing is for the Optic Plate and screws. Optic is not included.
The included screws are compatible with most red dots such as Holosun, Vortex, Burris, ADE, Shield, Swampfox, and others. However, they may not fit every model from these brands. In some cases, you may need longer or shorter screws depending on your specific red dot. If that’s the case, we recommend visiting a local hardware store such as Ace Hardware or Home Depot to find the appropriate size.

Didn't work with my setup out of the box
Giving this two stars based on my particular experience. The plate itself fit the Ruger Security 380, but the included screws did not work correctly with the optic I was trying to install. I assumed everything needed would be in the package, so that was frustrating. After looking into it more I realized different red dots can require different screw lengths. I probably could have found the correct screws locally and made it work, but at that point I decided not to continue with the installation. The plate appeared to be well made and this may work perfectly with other optics, so I'm not saying the product is defective. It just wasn't as plug-and-play with my setup as I expected.

Better than I expected for $30
Honestly wasn't expecting much from a $30 adapter plate but this turned out to be a pretty nice piece. Finish looks good, no rough edges, and my optic sits flat. I've put a few boxes through the Security 380 since mounting it and it is still holding tight. Would buy again.

Plate is good but installation was harder than expected
The product itself seems well machined and it did fit my Security 380, so I don't really have a complaint about the quality of the adapter. My issue was installation. Removing the factory rear sight and getting everything set up took considerably more effort than I expected from reading about optic adapters. I also had to experiment with screw length for my red dot. I eventually got everything mounted correctly and it is working now, but this wasn't a five-minute installation for me. If I had to do it again I would probably just take the gun and plate to a gunsmith from the beginning. Three stars because the finished setup works, but buyers who haven't done this kind of installation before should know what they're getting into.

Finally found an adapter for the Security 380
I'm not somebody who normally writes reviews but I wanted to leave one because it took me a while to figure out how to put a red dot on this gun. I bought my Ruger Security 380 because I like how easy the slide is to operate, but later decided I wanted to try an optic. I didn't realize when I bought the pistol that finding the correct adapter would be the difficult part. I ordered this plate and had someone with more experience install it for me because I wasn't comfortable removing the rear sight myself. The plate replaced the rear sight and my Shield RMSc mounted on top. It looks cleaner than I expected and doesn't feel like some giant adapter sitting on the gun. I've used it on three range trips now. I can't give an exact round count but probably somewhere around 400 rounds total. Everything is still tight and I haven't noticed the sight shifting. It definitely took me a little while to get accustomed to finding the dot because I've used iron sights for years, but now that I'm getting used to it I really like the setup. The biggest positive for me is simply that this gave me a way to use the pistol I already owned instead of buying something else that was optics ready. I would recommend having it professionally installed if you don't have experience changing dovetail sights.

Nice
Works. Fits my Security 380 and my Romeo Zero. No complaints.

Good plate, screws took some figuring out
The actual adapter is very nice and fit the dovetail on my Security 380 well. I installed a Vortex Defender CCW. The only issue I ran into was figuring out the screws. The ones I initially tried weren't the right length for my particular setup. Once I got the screw situation sorted out everything mounted securely. I have about 250 rounds through it now and it hasn't loosened up. Taking one star off because installation wasn't quite as straightforward as I expected, but the plate itself does what it is supposed to do.

Works great with my 507K
I had been looking around for a way to put my Holosun 507K on a Security 380 and found this adapter. There aren't nearly as many optic mounting options for the Security 380 as there are for some other pistols, so I decided to give this one a try. The plate itself feels surprisingly sturdy for how light it is. My 507K lined up with the rear mounting holes and once everything was installed it sat securely. I have taken it to the range several times since installing it and so far I haven't had any problems with the optic moving around. For the price I think it's a good solution if you already own a Security 380 and don't want to buy another pistol just to run an optic. Just pay attention to which mounting holes are used for your particular red dot.

Exactly what I needed
Fit my Ruger Security 380 perfectly. I used it with a Holosun 407K and everything lined up correctly. Plate feels solid and well made. Very happy to finally have a red dot option for this pistol.
