ADE RD3-006 Green Dot Sight with Picatinny and Novak Standard Optic Mounting Plate for 1911 Pistols
This package includes the ADE RD3-006 green dot sight, a pre-assembled Picatinny mounting plate, and a specially designed optic mounting plate made to fit 1911 pistols with the standard Novak rear sight cut. This plate replaces the factory rear sight on traditional Novak dovetails and does not fit Novak Oversize cuts or any non-traditional Novak cuts.
Important Compatibility Notes:

1911 pistols come with various rear sight dovetail cuts, including Colt (G.I.) Standard, LPA, Novak standard/traditional, and Novak Oversize.

This ADE optic plate is specifically for the Novak standard/traditional rear sight cut only.

It does not fit 1911 pistols without a traditional Novak rear sight. Confirm your pistol’s rear sight type with the manufacturer before purchase.

Minor modifications to the sight base may be required for some 1911s such as Rock Island, Citadel, and GSG 1911 .22 models.

Some Taurus and Ruger 1911 pistols use licensed Novak cuts but with proprietary sizing; this plate does not fit those non-genuine Novak cuts.
Installation:

Installation requires removal of the rear sight and disassembly of the pistol slide.

Professional gunsmith experience is strongly recommended.

Improper installation, including incorrect torque (recommended 12 in/lb), may cause loose screws, inability to hold zero, damage to firearm or optic, and risk of injury.

The included optic plate features a curved/concaved design that sits flush, wrapping around the curved top slide of the pistol, unlike many flat-design plates.

The green dot sight comes with a Picatinny mounting plate pre-assembled or packaged separately depending on the model.

Use the provided Allen wrench to remove the two hex screws (M3x6mm) behind the glass frame to detach the red dot from the Picatinny plate and mount it on compatible handgun plates.
