    Great red dot for plinking

Posted by Shane on 31st Jul 2025

Currently have it installed on a S&W Victory 22, sight is nice and lightweight. Easy to zero and holds it very well, though it’s not getting beat too hard with just a .22lr so your mileage may vary. Would I put this on my AR15 pistol? Probably not. A 22 or 9mm carbine? Absolutely. My only minor complaint is that the screw head for the picatinny mount sticks out just a little too far and looks goofy, but it’s a minor nitpick that in no way effects how the sight actually functions. Sight seems to be well built for the cost

    Very Impressed

I was a bit skeptical when buying the item but for the cost I thought I'd give it a try. I took it to the range and fired over 500 rounds from my Glock 17. After zeroing the weapon, the optic maintained its "Zero" the entire without any lag in performance. I normally fire Sig Sauer sight on my pistol but this is right up there. I was able to place rounds within a 1-inch group at 20 yards away. I recommend this sight to anyone looking to try out red dot pistol optics. The one complaint I had was that there are no instructions for zeroing. I had to go on YouTube for a tutorial which was a little frustraiting.

5.0 out of 5 stars It stays on target for the long hall!

I put it on a Canik TP9 combat elite. I'm just breaking in the Canik and my old eyes couldn't do better than 4'' groups at 25yds. After putting on the ADE reflex sight I was shooting 2'' groups at 25yds while sighting it in. After 5 three shot groups I had it within 1/2'' high and 1'' right. I know this because the next 15 shots were amazing. I aimed 1'' to the left and emptied the magazine! 12 shots hit in 1''group 1/2'' high and dead center, the other three within 2''. I've never done that before, 15 shots! TWO INCH GROUP, 25YRDS. I know its only the first day, I will post another review in a couple months after I put at lest a thousand rds. through my Canik TP9 combat elite/ ADE/Tactical Reflex Dot Sight.

    Unbeatable for the price

Shipped quickly and installed very easily on my 9mm cz clone. Dead on right out the box at 30 yards with a lazer boresight, and after almost 500 rounds still keeping 2.5" groupings. The only downside was the alignment pin holes on the rear of the sight didnt fit the mount i purchased (fronts fit perfect) other than that its been perfect. ive been comparing it to the Vortex and fastfire that my buddies shoot and other than this sight not having an auto-off feature, i think i got the better deal. Definitely buying a second and third for my other two firearms *edit* Now almost 1500 rounds downrange with the optic and it's still holding true. Swapped it to a friends AR15 with the included rail mount(which I did not need on my pistol) and the sight was 1" low at 100 without ever being adjusted.

works very good and cost 3 to 4 times less than the big name red dots

this is the ade rd3-012 red dot sight. I am using it on a 12 gauge shot gun. I installed a rail on the gun to mount the red dot on, mount comes already on the red dot. It sighted in easily and precise. I have to wear glasses to see up close, out to about 4 ft. but for some reason that i don't know i see this red dot perfect and sharp without the glasses. I don't know if it will be that way for anybody else but for me it was amazing. I've shot slugs, buckshot and number 4 rabbit loads so far [ 36 rounds total ] and the sight has handled it. I don't know how long a battery will last yet but you have to remember to turn it off when your done it does not shut it's self off. I can't say if it will hold up long term but it looks well made and is aluminum not plastic and i am going to buy another one for my lever action 3030.

ADE optic well woth the price

This is a great optic. I mounted the RD3-012 on my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 without issue. I used the Ruger factory picatinny rail and all fit well. Zeroing in was easy as the sight was close out of the box. I had to go up 1 inch and left 2 inches to get zero. I zeroed in at 30 feet. Once I locked in the dot the unit held zero just fine. Product is well made. I would highly recommend this optic.

    Inexpensive but not cheap

Buying the ADE RD3-012 Red Dot was ano brainer. Mounted on my Taurus G3C T.O.R.O, is exactly what I needed and completed my EDC pistol. You hear stories of people spending up to 1,000.00 to have a great CCW. Well eith the addition of my ADE Red Dot I have less 600.00 into a great CCW package. The ADE ADE RD3-012, is super bright, easy to mount and very accurate right out of the box. Comes with everything including a mount for picaninny rails for carbine. I put a lot of research into this and the ADE RD3-012 Delta cane our #1.

    GREAT Bang for the Buck!!!!

I had a Leupold Delta Point w/7.5 moa. It kept shutting down so I had to send it back for repairs. I wanted something to tide me over until the Delta Point came back so I bought this with the 6 moa and put it on. That was 4 months ago. I still haven't switched back even though my Leupold is back. This thing holds zero with no problem. The dot is bright, doesn't star and is easy to see. The glass is easy to see thru without any distortion. I probably put 600 -1000 rounds per month thru the gun (Walther PPQ Tac 4) at the range. Have not had to do anything to the sight after zeroing it in other than replacing the battery once. However, for the money I could replace the battery monthly and be well ahead of the game. The only (and it's very slight) drawback is zeroing it in. With the lock down screws having to be tightened every time then loosened every time you make a change it gets tiresome. However, once it's zeroed it stays zeroed so it's not that big of a deal. If you are just thinking about getting a RMR/Red Dot this is a great way to get started without having to break the bank. I'm going to order another one for my wife's gun.

    Works great for price!

As a retired gunsmith and gunshop owner, I've had my hands on a LOT of optics over the past 34 years. I read a bunch of reviews before deciding to try the Ade Micro Red Dot Site. I had used their mounts in the past and was impressed with their precision and quality. The site did not disappoint and was simple to mount on a Beretta M-92FS (using the appropriate Ade mount). The lens is nicely coated, the dot is clear and fully adjustable and the thing just looks awesome...and at a price that is half that of comparable sites. I am so impressed that I just ordered another one to attach to a custom M-1911 "Race Gun".
