Good Performance but Not Premium Glass
Overall, I think this is a solid scope for the money, but it’s important to keep expectations realistic. The adjustments work well and it holds zero reliably, which is the most important part. The illuminated reticle is helpful in low light, but the glass at maximum magnification is not as crisp as higher-end optics. It’s still very usable, just not in the same league as premium brands. For the price though, it’s a good value and gets the job done.

Good Balance of Features and Price
What I like most about this scope is the balance. You’re getting useful features like illumination, side focus, and a solid reticle without paying premium prices. The glass is not top-tier, but it’s more than adequate for real shooting. Everything works the way it should, and that’s what matters most to me.

Great First Long-Range Scope
This is my first scope in this magnification range, and it’s been a great introduction. I was able to learn how to dial adjustments and use the reticle for holdovers without feeling overwhelmed. The clarity is good enough to see targets clearly, and the illumination helps when lighting isn’t ideal. For beginners getting into long-range shooting, this is a great starting point.

Durable and Reliable
I’ve put a decent number of rounds through my rifle with this scope mounted, and it has held up well. No issues with losing zero or shifting point of impact. The turrets still feel solid and the illumination still works perfectly. It feels like a durable optic that can handle regular use without needing constant adjustments.
-
Practical Shooter
This scope does exactly what I need it to do without any unnecessary complexity. The controls are straightforward, the glass is clear enough, and the reticle is easy to see. I especially like the side focus because it allows quick adjustments when switching distances. It’s not flashy, but it works consistently every time I take it out.

Range Instructor
I’ve had a few students using this scope, and it’s actually been a good teaching optic. The reticle layout makes it easier to explain holds and corrections. The magnification range helps beginners see what’s happening on target without needing spotting scopes. Adjustments are predictable, which is important when teaching dialing fundamentals. Overall, it’s a very usable scope for learning long-range shooting.

Budget Long-Range Shooter
I didn’t want to spend a thousand dollars on an optic, but I still wanted something capable. This scope fits that role perfectly. The glass is clear enough for practical shooting, and the illuminated reticle is a nice bonus for lower light conditions. The build feels solid and not cheap. After several trips to the range, everything still feels tight and reliable.

Steel Target Enthusiast
I’ve been shooting steel out past a few hundred yards, and this scope has made it much easier. The reticle is simple enough to not get cluttered, but still gives you reference points for holdovers. The turrets feel repeatable, and I’ve had no issues dialing up and returning to zero. The image stays bright enough even when zoomed in, which I didn’t expect at this price level.

Hunter
I used this scope during a recent hunting trip and it performed very well in real conditions. Early morning visibility was excellent thanks to the large objective lens. The illuminated reticle made a noticeable difference in low light, especially when aiming at darker backgrounds. The scope held zero through travel and use, which is always my biggest concern. It’s a bit on the larger side, but on a hunting rifle that’s built for distance, it works great.

Weekend Range Shooter
I mostly shoot steel at varying distances, and this scope has worked really well for that. The magnification range gives me flexibility depending on how far I’m shooting. At lower power it’s easy to acquire targets quickly, and when I dial it up I can clearly see impacts. The side focus adjustment is smooth and helps sharpen the image quickly. For the price, it feels like you’re getting more than expected.

Precision Rifle Builder
I build rifles as a hobby, and I’ve tested a fair number of optics in this price category. This one impressed me more than expected. The 35mm tube gives you a lot of adjustment range, and the turrets feel solid when dialing. The mil-dot bar reticle is clean and easy to work with, especially for holdovers. The illumination is not overly bright, but it’s very usable in low-light conditions, which is exactly what I wanted.

Long Range Shooter
I mounted this scope on my .308 bolt rifle and took it out for a full day at the range right after zeroing. The clarity was the first thing that stood out. Even at higher magnification, the image stayed usable and didn’t wash out like some budget optics I’ve tried. The illuminated reticle really helped during late afternoon when lighting started to fade. Adjustments felt consistent and I was able to dial out to longer distances without losing confidence in the tracking. After a few sessions, it has continued to hold zero reliably.

Would have bought scope w/o illumination .
The price was right. It was an over-kill for my .17 and .22 rifle, but at my age it was a help.

Not Millett LRS-1 Clone but close
4.5 Stars, I was hoping this was a true clone. The price is right. I have 5 Millett LRS-1 scopes and another one of these ADEs. This is LRS replacement of choice since Millett now out of production. In comparison scope tube is shorter, it matches the Millett TRS-1 format. Sun shade is shorter. End caps are different style, nicer. Turret Character Font is smaller, lines are thinner harder to read in field. Turret locks are sluggish would recommend not using them anyway. Specifications appear to be direct match. MILDOT BAR reticle and 1/4 MOA clicks match. Shipping components match, Rings, Wrenches, Cloth, life time warranty. Illumination not tested, first ADE held up perfectly thru 200 rounds so far, appears to be a good value. Have recommend to fiends who have also purchased. Free shipping great but comes by reverse Oregon Trail, and oxen need to stop a lot.

Sweet
Just came in the mail today, this thing is way bigger than anticipated!!! Seems sturdy and robust, knobs reticle and all seem to work just fine, 4 stars just because I haven't taken it to the range yet. Flip caps that come with it are...ok, objective cap does not fit into provided shade, extremely loose, bought new caps for it. I would really like to see optional mounts in this size offered for this scope, the rings sit really tall on a bolt action with standard barrel profile, even with an extra 3/4" cheek riser, but I'm sure would fit nicely on an ar15/10 considering top rail for clearance of objective lenses size. Love it

Great scope
First off, the glass is very good through the whole magnification range. Focus and parrelax work well, adjustments have a good feel to them. Have not had a chance to do box test. The 35mm tube is on the verge of ridiculous, and does add some weight to it. So overall is this scope as good as a scope costing thousands of dollers more, no its not. But in this price range it is the best out there!
