I bought this handguard for my first AR pistol. I went with a 10.5 inch barrel and this 12 inch handguard length was perfect to get the look I was going for. the 3 inch KAK flash can fits perfectly and sticks out just enough. The installation of this piece was super easy and the fit and finish is great. I do wish that they sent an aluminum piece of picatinny rail with it instead of polymer, but it was basically free so I cannot complain. My suppressor fits nicely under the handguard with just enough clearance for mounting mlok accessories.

This rail has 1.75” diameter giving you plenty of extra room for suppressors I’m assuming since that is what it was intended for but I don’t own any suppressors to give an honest review on that. The reason why I got this is the extra room to have room for a wider range of low profile adjustable gas blocks. My slim rails I have from ade and Fortis are so slim it was difficult to find the perfect size adjustable gas blocks to fit inside them which limited my options and wasn’t able to use a couple of the ones I preferred to have due to them being to wide to fit inside the free float rails. this eliminates that issue and I have large hands anyways so the extra thickness of the rail isnt an issue. Plus having my hand just that little extra distance away from the hot barrel and gas block makes me not as worried about them heating up the rail too after some rapid firing since I prefer not to wear gloves if possible without risking being burned.

I wanted a handguard that looked good, was lightweight, had a rock solid mount, and was wide enough to hold a large suppressor inside of it. This one does it all. On top of that I've recieved numerous compliments on it from everyone thats seen it.

I chose this for a 300bo pistol I was building. The ADE handguard has a large enough diameter to allow suppressor to fit inside. I mounted a Mystic X on a 8in. barrel and it was just what I was looking for. Installation of this handguard is easy and straight forward. Has the T markings on the rail, excellent build quality. Preface my decision to say no for recommending. Dings in exact same place as 1st one. I have ordered this handguard once before. First one had some scratches on it. located on left front of handguard by rail and rear of handguard same side. I will presume that this is from multiple products rubbing together, hopefully. Overall, I like the look of the handguard as it has M-lok and is the right size I need. 2nd one arrived today and looks exactly the same as the first one ordered. If these are stored on a shelf hook, then that might account for the exact dings in the same spots. I wanted brand new. Guess I will chalk it up to wear and tear or being banged around with like products.

The rail come in and looked great fit good and was easy to install. The only problem I had was the barrel nut has holes all around and my dust cover rail goes through the hole and will slip out.

Exactly what I was looking for. I originally bought the M3 series handguard but my suppressor is just a little too tight at 1.6" OD. I returned the handguard and bought the SP version. It fits and looks great. Plenty of room for any suppressor. OpticsPlanet was great to work with swapping the products. They gave me a few options to fit my situation best.

I love the handgaurd. It was wide enough to fit over my strike industries Opressor blast shield. And when i get a surpressor it will fit over that! Well made and looks great!! I got the 12.5inch mlok and it is super sweet!!

Fit on my New Frontier Billet 9mm upper very well, the anti-rotation tabs just clear. Install was painless, fits tight and feels secure. Love the extra circumference for accommodating my suppressor. Finish looks nice and matches all the black anodizing on my AR pistol.

Great rail other than it being soak with oil and discolored when I got it. Not sure why that wasn’t caught when it was shipped in the first place. The packing had visible liquid in it when I took it out of the box so that was kind of careless to ship a damaged part out.

Have not used it yet, but will be running it soon with a 22" barrel and a +2 gas system, gas blick is well hidden under the handguard. Will have a suppressor on it as well and theis was recommended. Will be running this all off a tripod at night and bi pod by day.

I purchased this handguard not for suppressor clearance but for oversized gas block clearance. I run a few barrels on my gas guns that require almost 1” internal diameter handguard and rather than run those size gas blocks beyond the hand guard, I’m able to run them inside this handguard. Perfect machining. Excellent design. Very satisfied. I ordered two. One was covered in excessive oil which I had to wipe off but not biggie. Thanks Midwest Industries for making an awesome product.

Looks Great! Fits over my yankee hill hinged gas block wonderfully!! Plenty of room to mount mlok accessories anywhere along it without touching the gas block at all! Would definitely buy again if the need arises for a larger diameter handguard.

Absolute best bang for your buck when it comes to handguards very high quality and big diameter for people who paid for their rights back and run cans.. also feels much more rigid and sturdy do to the fact I have properly sized man hands and the added diameter provides more room to grab

I did some research for suppressor compatible handguards and found there isn't many. I've always seen Midwest industries guards and decided to purchase. This guard will allow my diffuser to sit within it just enough that I can still access the QD lever. The anti rotation tab is a nice feature to help aid with top rail alignment.

As with all ADE products, the fit and finish are top notch and is solid with no flex. This is my fourth Midwest handguard and that’s all I will continue to use on my future AR builds. Even though this handguard is made for a suppressor, I don’t run a suppressor. I needed this handguard for it’s larger inner diameter barrel nut to fit over a 1.050” bull barrel and for more clearance over the gas block. The handguard has slightly larger outside diameter than other MI handguards but feels just right in my larger hands. Leave it up to Midwest Industries to make the best handguards in the business.

I recently finished my second build using the SP handguard and recommend them without hesitation. The machining, fit, and quality of both the handguard and the barrel nut is superb! I have used these on both a high-end upper and one of lesser quality and the fit and appearance was flawless in both cases.

Excellent quality, fit and finish. However, mine was actually a half inch longer than the size indicated. I ordered the 12" rail and with the calculations I made and thought it would work for what I wanted, but it actually measures around 12.5" closer to 12 5/8" making it too long for what I wanted. I Had to order the 10" (which should be around 10.5"). Overall I would recommend! Just be aware of the actual length.

This rail was very easy to install and came with the tool needed which was a huge plus. I need led a rail large enough for my suppressor to fit inside. Although to fit a suppressor it obviously needs to be larger that rails I normally use, it didn't take long to get used to it.

Nice rail/handguard that fits 1.5" diameter suppressors (confirmed to fit the 762SDN6 QD ratchet latch as well) and still maintains a reasonable outer diameter that is comfortable to grip even with a top mount pressure switch (I'm 6' with an average reach and hand size). The 12" is actually 12.625" OAL which I did not know and did not see the question that listed the correct OAL. So, I would say, if you're going for a specific look and have done a lot of measuring make sure to get the actual OAL if using another length rail from midwest. Luckily the extra 5/8" made my build look better. Relatively light weight though not the lightest out there. You have to time the barrel nut for the gas tube, which was not difficult with the supplied barrel nut wrench (proprietary nut lugs). The way the rail mounts to the barrel nut involves a small metal shim that prevents rotation and is tightened in place with two screws at the bottom of the rail. The screw also clamp the rail around the nut. Simple install. Has T markings.

Quality is excellent! Fit perfect on my Alexander Arms upper receiver. Also works well for larger bull-barrels when you need a little more room between the gas block and the inside of the rail. Would definitely recommend this rail

Great free floating handrail. Easy to grip around it. Excellent for suppressors. Easy to install and very lightweight. I would highly recommend to anyone. Comes with a wrench for installment. The M Loks are good for all kinds of accessories.

The machining is too notch. Anodizing had no flaws in it that I could see. Large inner diameter gives plenty of room for most likely any suppressor out there to fit into. Several M lok attachment points. Overall not the lightest handguard for it's size but can't complain too much about that since it's intended to be larger diameter. Only real complaint is that even though it has many m lok slots all around it except the top picatinny rail it does not have very much air flow going through it to help the barrel, gas block, and suppressor(if using one under the handguard) cool down very fast. Some better ventilation would help cool it down quicker especially since the hand-guard can get quite hot especially running a suppressor underneath it.

This is my second rail from ade and I’m very happy with the quality. I bought this rail because it’s has a larger inside diameter than my other rails. I’m very happy with my purchase just wish it was exactly 12 inch’s but I will still make it work. I will continue to buy Midwest products and great service from opticsplanet.

I've never used this manufacturer before. I was looking for a floating handgaurd with the barrel nut included. This comes in a set. Very easy to install and comes with the wrench to attach the nut. Quality aluminum used to make these. Also comes with a 2" picatinny rail. This is my second purchase of this product (different length). Extremely satisfied with the company.

Now this is one high quality handguard. Machining is impeccable and anodizing is on point. Best of all, it is suppressor friendly if you are so inclined to tuck that can. Installation is a breeze, and it just looks incredible. Midwest Industries, never disappoints!

I bought this handguard for one reason, to run my suppressor under it. It works as it should. I am running my Octane 45k and there is a decent amount of room to spare. Ive only went to the range twice and didnt put more than 100 rounds through my gun both times and the handguard didnt get to hot.

they have them in 18 inch i like handguard to cover the length of the barrel A+ on this product.the suppresser that iam running on a 12 1/2 barrel subsonic 300 blackout iam going to run on a 18 inch wilson combat 300 ham'r the suppresser is amtac 7.62 cqmb fit and finish on this product is great.

Its hard to find anything that fits a 936 heavy barrel for a 556 Nato and I was hesitant at first but o.p. helped me find the one I needed and it fit perfectly and is by far the highest quality free float I've bought id highly recommend it

I love ade handguards. I consider them one of the best deals on the market. They are lightweight, strong, durable, and extremely functional, all while being very affordable. They are also easy to install. I ordered this one for my latest build that included a blast can. The extra internal diameter of the SP series handguard allows my can to sit inside the handguard. It looks slick! Once I shot it, I figured out I like the extra width of this handguard too. I'm used to running slim handguard to reduce weight and size, but the extra diameter on this one allows me to get a better grip on the forend. If you want you suppressor or blast can to fit inside your handguard, this product will definitely do the trick.

Easy install on sig m400 pistol. I completed while sitting on the ground in my room. Hardest thing was find the right barrel nut to take off current guard. Fits well around my banish 30 and takes mlock without carving into my supressor.

Great finish, look and feel to this handguard. Really sturdy and I like the design of the barrel nut too. Tucked a blast forwarding underneath it and it worked out great. Highly recommend this handguard.

Works great with a short barreled .300blk with suppressor. I was surprised to find out how many rails aren't large enough to accommodate even narrow suppressors like the Liberty Mystic X. This one will work with anything as large or smaller than a Sico Omega 300

solid piece, good weight, awesome finish, instructions has all torque specs required, fitment was perfect and snug, this hand guard is specific for hiding your suppressor under. I think midwest is the only brand out there with this market but they still have good prices and opticsplanet always has what i need

I have all the brands, and while Geissele and BCM have a more secure side mount, ade is equally sturdy and has great quality. It's fat since it can fit a suppressor, but it still handles perfectly with a angled foregrip and C-clamp hold.

Put this on my PSA AR-V 4". With my suppressor it looks awesome. Has a great feel to it and it is not heavy. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quality handguard. This was very easy to install.

Great Rail, anti-rotation tabs lock very well into the Juggernaut Uppers. The only problem I have is why Midwest say NOT FOR PISTONS?? It doesn't get to look any better for a piston install. they've even been kind enough to include a barrel nut complete with an additional piston rod guides, all 30? of them (The Superarms piston even comes with a bushing that press fits into the upper gas tube hole/cloverleaf), just clock your barrel nut correctly with shims and torque wrench and your good to go. Definitely buying more of these for rifle length piston builds.

Looks great over my suppressor and still has plenty of room between the handguard and suppressor to mount M-LOK attachments. It also mounts solid and straight over the supplied barrel nut. It took a lot of looking, but I am confident I made the right choice.

This rail met all my requirements, correct length and the ability to tuck the suppressor under the hand guard ( which was the most important factor to me). The fit and finish were superb, this is my second rail from Midwest Industries. The installation was a breeze.

ADE has had a reputation of making quality hand guards, this purchase was no exception. The product locks up tightly to the barrel nut, and holds a zero very well. Its not the cheapest product, but you get what you pay for.

This is the second handguard I've owned from ade and I have to say, it works great. The larger size makes shooting multiple mags alot cooler on the hands since it dissipates heat at a higher rate. Definitely would recommend for those who hit the range alot!

Bought the 15 inch handguard for my Aero EPC 9mm rifle. Solid product. Fits and looks great! Obsidian 9 fits perfect, 10 out of 10!

My dad had an old, used parts-bin rifle that someone slapped together with spit and duct tape. Had good bones, but the guy who put it together clearly didn't know what he was doing. Decided it might be time to redecorate it. Between this beefy handguard and a new Ballistic Advantage Hanson barrel, I got his rifle looking mighty sharp. Fantastic machining in the handguard as well as finish. Looks perfect all around and not a single burr seen or felt. Shaved just under 1.5 lbs off the front end of it between this and the barrel. Points very quickly and precisely now. The big guy couldn't be happier with it. He's got big paws, so he appreciates the over-sized handguard diameter. If you're in the Large-XL category of hands, this is the handguard for you. Also, if you want to build a pistol with an oversized handguard to slip a suppressor in to act as a bit of a heat shield, this would also work if the suppressor is skinny enough, but I digress. Either way, I recommend you get a proper armorer's wrench to put it on. Spend a little money and get one if you ever plan to build or customize more than 1 AR. And a quality upper clamshell vice block. Dont be cheap. Learn from my mistakes! The wrench it comes with works...kinda. but my MI armorer's wrench made short work of it without marring or damaging the barrel nut. Wouldn't suspect the same from the included one, but admittedly I didn't try it.

ade always makes great high quality products. This is being used to replace a over suppressor hand guard that was impractical. This hand guard has a good barrel nut and solid lock up to the upper. No sharp edges and a great finish.

ade handguards are my favorite by far. They are very easy to install and remove compared to most others. The SP series is meant to be a large enough diameter to accept a tucked suppressor. Just make sure to check the suppressor diameter, because it will not fit all suppressors. My Nomad 30 will not fit inside this handguard, which is ok with me, because I didn't get this to Tuck the supressor, I just like the larger diameter handguard.

I have used ade "Combat" rails and "G4" rails in the past on other rifles, and generally feel that Midwest Industries handguards are horribly underrated. With a dedicated 22LR build using a 20in barrel, I picked the 18in SP handguard (MI-SP18M). (SP Series was previously called Suppressor Series, but I presume they renamed it to sound less menacing and more PC.. eyeroll.) The main reasons why I picked the SP was (a) its width, (b) its length, (c) its cost. The SP handguards were designed to allow suppressors to fit "underneath" them, and they are marketed as such, but I don't own any suppressors so that wasn't a consideration for me. The rifle I put it on, I mostly shoot prone with bipod and bag. The width was a big selling point for me, because it makes settling into position easier to do AND grants me better radial "leverage" to make those teeny-tiny adjustments to my position that much more easily. Nice strong platform for the bipod and other accessories. Stays put when forces are applied to it. Keeps my barrel freefloated and predictably accurate. The long 18in version increases my rifle's "wheelbase" per se, and thereby its stability. Function is paramount, but where function meets form, that's where the magic happens. Midwest knocked it out of the park with this design. Nice and wide. Nice and long. And at a great price point. I'm really glad I went the way I did. Loved it so much on my 22LR that I bought another for my 20in 5.56! So good!

Needed a handguard that was large enough in diameter for an under the handguard suppressor build and Midwest Industries SP series fit the build.

I was working on an under-the-handguard suppressor build and needed a handguard that would match my regular Aero upper while also providing adequate clearance under the rail. Unless you select the enhanced version of Aero's upper, the Midwest Industries SP Series is an excellent choice. My Rugged Obsidian 9 CAN fit well under the rail, creating a gorgeous small package. Easy install. Removed old rail, barrel nut and gas block. Installed new barrel nut, gas tube fits through holes in barrel nut, then installed new rail. Fits silencer with room for a can sleeve.

Installed this on a 8inch .300 blackout aero m4e1 upper and direct threaded a aero lahar suppressor. Only downside is it’s difficult to mount a light at the end of the 10.5inch handguard since the suppressor takes up the space where the mlok light mount inserts are supposed to go. Other than that its great and easy to install

If you want to incorporate a supressor inside the hand guard THIS is the product you want. Sturday with nice GIRTH the Sp hand guard by Midwest Industries won't disappoint. Solid feel and nice construction.

This Handguard was perfect for what I needed it for. I’ve got a 7.5 inch .300 Blackout AR that I intend to suppress eventually, and after doing some research, I found that the can I want should have enough clearance to attach. This Handguard also has much better MLOK options than the handguard the upper came with. Midwest Industries rocks!

I don’t currently own a suppressor, but run a Strike Industries Jcomp v2 with the oppressor blast forwarding device. Like a lot of others I’m a fan of the tucked in look. Having some experience with hand guards the barrel nut is my favorite out of all the others I’ve dealt with. Very easy to torque and line up for the gas tube. I also like that each side has mlok, a total of seven and a full pic rail on top. This is one of my favorite handguards and wasn’t very expensive

I orginally bought a different handguard. This and the gridlok lite both had a large inside diameter but this handguard actually stays in place when its installed. It works great & looks great!

This absolutely works for my YHM Turbo K suppressor coverage. Though I can’t mount m lok devices where the suppressor is tucked. It also feels great to c-clamp grip.

That I was looking for and the barrel nut was included. Installing it was a breeze. Fit and finish is top notch. If there is a down side to this item I haven’t found it yet. I recently purchased a ade handguard for a AR15 build. The quality and reliability are second to none. I’ve had numerous AR platforms and this is by far the best hand guard I’ve used. ade always makes quality rails and this is no different. Hybrid 46 suppressor tucks in perfectly and installation was quick and easy.

Is a 5 star item if I only consider my intended use (hunting). Only gave 4 stars because for hard use there are better more rigid and robust options. A titanium barrel nut as a standard feature with associated increase in cost seems like a win to me, but maybe not for all. However, for the very reasonable price this is an excellent option that will certainly do the job.

This product is awesome very well-made. I would recommend this product to anyone.. it’s worth every penny.

I mounted this on a PSA 10.5" complete upper in 300 AAC. My suppressor for this build is a YHM Resonator r2. The upper came with a 9" handguard and with the QD and suppressor, it didn't look great, and the connection was exposed. I got the 15" SP handguard to make the pistol look more even and to protect the connection. In retrospect I do think I got the correct length. Any longer and there would not be enough exposed suppressor to get a good grip on when removing. The added length combined with the can does make the build forward heavy for a pistol but you can get creative with accessories to balance things out. Oh and mounting this was super easy. It was my first time barreling an upper and installing a handguard with with a receiver clamp and a vise, this was like legos. Excellent build quality on the handguard too. Steel screw inserts and a clever lock up tab. The Barrel nut was perfect and the fit is superb

Was easy to install and happy it fit over an Odin works tunable gas block for a 6.5 Grendel build. Fit great on BCM upper and came with wrench to torque and align gas tube

It is easy to install, fits around my suppressor (OCL polonium 30). I recommend. Only downside is that larger OD supressors wont allow you to use the M-lok. The two inches where the M-lok goes over the suppressor has no attachments

Midwest has been a quality manufacturer for a long time. Glad to see they filled this niche. If you are tall or long armed and running an SBR or pistol, this might help you out. I am running the 12" handguard over a 10" barrel with a Sico Harvester (best not to run a handguard longer than a barrel without a can). Handguard has a good feel, good fit and the can rebates easily. As always, Optics Planet filled and shipped the order quick. This is a solid choice for this use case.

I bought this because I bought an SI king comp mini and oppressor. The original fore end from PSA was too narrow. I thought is would look too bulky on my AR pistol but it’s not. I love it. I also bought the strike industries angled hand stop to go with it. Love the combo of both products. Easy to install. The hardest thing was removing the barrel nut from the PSA fore end

ade clearly focuses on quality. Really works well with my 5in barrel for just a subtle shrouded look. Couldn’t be happier!

I have a 300 blackout suppressed. 105. Barrel with a BCM 9" handguard. But I've always thought the handguard covering part of the suppressor looked cool. Plus I love MI stuff. Well I got it installed, which was super easy, and not only did it look cooler than I thought it would it also gave me more real estate to put a light on it without it effecting my grip.

I've tried to buy other brand handguards and they are always junk. Just buy the MI the first time and be done! Fit and finish are always perfect and the mount up tight.

Install the hand guard on my SFAR the fit feel and function were awesome. Contemplating getting a couple more for my other AR’s thanks Optics planet…

This is the thickest mlok rail I've seen so far. Most mlok rails feel relatively weightless, but this one has some heft to it. It's very well machined and has a smooth, comfortable to grip surface. I wouldn't use this on a light weight rifle build, but I would recommend this for pretty much anything else. It will give you a stiff, durable, comfortable rail.

Great fit for my build. The anti rotation tabs and top rail align perfectly. Holds suppressor tucked inside just fine. Tight fit no wobble.

If you need a hand guard with a larger inner diameter to fit over gas block for barrels with fatter profile (.875>) or a suppressor this is a good choice. Fit/finish was good. Very sturdy and no flex. Easy to mount. Not the lightest weight but that’s not really a concern when using a longer heavy barrel anyway Not a ton of choices out there for this requirement. The aero enhanced is great too but you need their barrel nut (unless you’re using their enhanced upper receiver) and right now anyway the barrel nut is nowhere to be found. Very pleased so far. I will probably get more in the future if putting together heavier barreled uppers with threaded receivers.

It fits all the cans I own . The only down side I’ve seen since using it is , even with the low profile mlock pic rail it gives you , you can’t run a flash light near the suppressor or it’ll bottom out on your can pushing it to one side . Either move it back or in it on the top rail is the only option I’ve seen so far . But it’s super easy to install and even easy to take back off if needed .

THE MIDWEST handguard feels as it should. Quality and slim,love the 7 m-lok angles. Locks up great and love the barrel nut, solid choice. Mine did come with some damage but im not upset because im gonna mess it up once i start using it.
