AR15 Mil-Spec Buffer Tube Kit. Spring Industrial Grade Steel W Spec Tube 5 Pc Kit

This was an amazing deal when it was priced at $20. A 7075 T6 aluminum receiver extension is virtually unheard of! That buffer tube/extension was what sold me on this kit. The rest of the kit is just ok. I had to finish tapping the roll pin into the buffer. The spring is of average construction, although the buffer won't lock in (probably worth upgrading the spring). End plate is in spec. Castle nut is solid and has the appropriate staking notches. I absolutely loved this kit for $20 and bought 7 for current and future builds. At that price, I could afford to replace the spring and still be rolling at the cost of name-brand parts AND I'd have the rock-solid buffer tube! All good things end, apparently. I just came back a couple weeks later since my last order to buy 2-3 more kits and saw the price increased 75%!!! I wasn't nearly as excited to buy the kits, and, frankly, can't afford them now. Even at $35 a pop, these are still worth considering (though maybe not in large quantities). While you can certainly find name-brand kits at or below this price, if you want the strongest receiver extension around, I don't know of many in this range offering 7075 T6 tubes. It might be overkill for this part, but sometimes "overkill" is called for if you want one less part you need to worry about ever replacing.
