Great Alternative to Expensive Brands
For years I assumed I needed one of the major premium brands to get a dependable pistol red dot. After trying the Gen 2 RD3-023, I realized that's not necessarily true. The optic arrived well packaged and installation was simple. The machining looked clean, the finish was consistent, and the controls felt solid. After zeroing at 15 yards, I spent the rest of the afternoon shooting steel and working on transitions. The reticle remained crisp and easy to track during recoil. Several months later, the optic is still running perfectly. The motion awake system works every time, battery changes are easy thanks to the side-loading design, and the multiple reticle options allow me to tailor the sight picture to different shooting styles. For anyone looking for an affordable RMR-footprint optic with modern features, this is an excellent choice.

Fast Acquisition and Easy Setup
Setup took less than ten minutes. The optic mounted directly to my RMR-cut slide and required only minor adjustments to get on target. The larger window makes target transitions noticeably faster compared to my previous micro optic. I've already recommended it to several friends at the range.

Exceeded Expectations After 2,000+ Rounds
I rarely leave reviews, but this optic deserves one. I mounted the RD3-023 on a compact carry pistol and intentionally waited several months before sharing my thoughts. Over the course of ownership, I've put more than 2,000 rounds through the firearm. The optic has experienced recoil, heat, dust, and several rainy range days. Throughout all of that, it has maintained zero and continued functioning normally. The glass remains clear and the controls still feel positive. What impressed me most was the overall usability. The large viewing window, motion activation, and multiple reticle options make the sight extremely versatile. Whether I'm shooting paper targets, steel plates, or running drills, it performs exactly as expected. Considering the feature set and price point, this has become one of my favorite optics purchases.

Good Optic With Minor Drawbacks
The optic performs well and holds zero, but I wish the brightness buttons were slightly larger. They're functional, just a little small when wearing gloves. Other than that, the glass is clear and the reticle options are excellent. I'd still recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable RMR-footprint optic.

Reliable Through Multiple Training Sessions
I originally bought this optic as a temporary solution while saving for a much more expensive sight. After several months of use, I've decided to keep it. The optic has survived numerous range days, movement drills, and repeated holster draws. The housing feels sturdy and the controls are intuitive. I especially appreciate the side battery tray because I don't have to remove the optic to replace the battery. The motion awake feature has worked flawlessly. Every time I pick up the pistol, the reticle is immediately ready. That convenience alone makes it worth owning.

Great for Aging Eyes
As I've gotten older, iron sights have become harder to focus on. This optic solved that problem immediately. The reticle is bright, easy to acquire, and stays visible even during bright outdoor shooting conditions. I mounted it on a Glock-pattern pistol with an RMR cut and was shooting tighter groups within the first range session. Very pleased with the purchase.

Impressed With the Multi-Reticle Feature
I purchased this optic mainly because I wanted a circle-dot reticle without paying premium-brand prices. The ability to switch between dot, circle, and circle-dot has been surprisingly useful. For slower target shooting I use the dot, and for steel matches I switch to the circle-dot. The window size feels generous and makes finding the reticle much easier than some smaller optics I've owned. Overall, this optic delivers features usually found on products costing significantly more.

Excellent Upgrade for My RMR-Cut Pistol
I've tried several budget-friendly pistol optics over the years, and the Gen 2 RD3-023 has been one of the better ones. Installation on my RMR-cut slide was straightforward, and the optic fit securely without any issues. The glass is clear, the dot is crisp, and adjustments tracked properly during zeroing. After several range trips and roughly 700 rounds, it continues to hold zero. Great value for the money.

Great Performance for the Price
I've owned several red dots over the years, including some of the more expensive brands, and I purchased the RD3-023 as a backup optic for a secondary handgun. To my surprise, it performed much better than expected. The housing feels sturdy, the lens coatings provide a clear sight picture, and the dot remains visible in bright daylight. The optic tracked adjustments accurately and returned to zero after testing. For shooters looking for an affordable optic that still offers dependable performance, this is a strong option.
-
Reliable and Easy to Use
This is my first pistol red dot and I couldn't be happier. The controls are intuitive and the window size makes target acquisition much faster than using iron sights alone. I've put a few hundred rounds through my setup so far and haven't experienced any issues. The brightness settings are easy to adjust even while wearing gloves. Overall, a very solid optic.
-
Excellent Upgrade for My RMR-Cut Slide
I mounted the Gen 2 RD3-023 on my RMR-cut slide and was impressed right away. The glass is clear, the dot is crisp, and installation was straightforward. After several range sessions it has held zero perfectly. Great value compared to optics costing much more.

ADE VALKYRIE GEN 2 (RD3-023 PRO)
Love my ADE optics. Solid products at a reasonable cost. This is my 3rd optic and by far my favorite. I have an astigmatism and this green dot is clear and easy to see with great brightness for day time lighting. This optic has made my newest PSA Dagger Compact my favorite gun. Don't think I will go back to a red dot or another optic company. Only downside is the battery is not on the topside like some of the other ADE optics.
-
