Excellent clarity of the Triplet glass lens (three lenses in a single shell) is a top feature of this quality loupe, but it also has features that will provide convenience and security. If you need a quality 10x loupe for a reasonable price, this is it. If you've never used a loupe of this power, you may wish to know that the viewing distance is very short between the loupe and the eye as well as between the loupe and the object viewed. The center of the loupe is the viewing area.

Pretty Good
Opening a closing is a little hard, however that also means it's not going to close when you're trying to look at something. Leather case is nice, pliable and thick just like the picture. Snap is good and seems it will last a long time. The optics are good. ( I look at coins ). There is a little bit of distortion on the outer edges which can be typical for non-expensive loops, however the distortion is not bad and over all I would recommend.

Excellent lens for most naturalists' needs
This lens was far better than I expected. Before this, I had only used single lenses and one triplet belomo lens. As a geologist and botanist, I wanted to invest in a better hand lens after lending my old one to friends. I didn't want to splurge on a luxury hastings lens, but I wanted to give a triplet lens another try. Boy, am I glad I did. This lens is amazing. Edge distortions are kept at a minimum, and the diameter is actually a comfortable size for my needs! I actually liked this one better than my old belomo lens, which apparently was also a triplet. This lens is a great lens for the cost and will help me with all my mineralogical, botanical, and paleobotanical needs. Glad I purchased this! I found this exact lens on amazon, but found that optics factory provided a much better price. Save your money and buy from optics factory!
