Okay fit, but not what I was hoping for in terms of precision.

Posted by Pancho on 10th Nov 2025

It's attractive to think that mounting an optic atop an automatic pistol that wasn't made for one can be so easy. I guess that's a big motivator in terms of selling this item. Ease of installation, and not having to bring your slide to a gunsmith to be milled out. In that sense it's a good product, since you can install this easily with a sight pusher tool. What was disappointing was the level of precision. It simply doesn't instill confidence in me, and I believe this lack of precision also effects accuracy. Yes, it's an easy solution, but it's not accurate in the way you'd hope. It's not the same as a milled slide. I think this is good for what it is, but temper your expectations. Hard to beat for the price, however, and do-able by just about everyone.

Fits the S&W Shield 9 EZ

    Posted by Ausie-FlopDoodle on 10th Nov 2025

Originally ordered for my Shield 9, when it came in labeled for Shield 9 EZ, I didn't mind as I have one of those as well. Within five minutes I had the old rear sight off and the adaptor plate mounted. Fit was good and didn't have to modify anything. I will be picking up a Sig Romeo Zero to mount on top. I have paid way more for similar plates. The milling is not perfect but could be alot worse.

Ignore the posting, this is only for the Shield EZ

Posted by Bobbert on 10th Nov 2025

This adapter listed the shield and the shield EZ. It is not compatible with my shield or my shield m.2. All the packaging and the unit itself says, "Shield EZ" only. I am still giving it 4 stars because it will work just fine for a Shield EZ. As with anything being mounted on a firearm... know what you are doing, or have it installed by a professional.

Needs Minor Fitting, Check Compatibility Carefully

Posted by HONEST REVIEWER on 10th Nov 2025

I received this ADE optic mounting plate through the Vine program for use with my SW MP, Shield EZ (.30 Super Carry), and I wanted to share my experience. The plate is designed to allow mounting various red dot sights like the Holosun 407K/507K, Sig Romeo Zero, RMS, ADE Spike/Nuwa/Apollo, and CT1550 on compatible SW MP Shield and Shield EZ models. The Good: • Generally as Described: The plate appears to be mostly as advertised in terms of its design and intended purpose. The Not-So-Good: • Fitment Issues (Minor): The biggest issue I encountered was a fitment problem with the dovetail portion. I had to use a Dremel to carefully remove a small amount of material to get the plate to properly slide into the dovetail slot. It was a very minor adjustment, but required some effort. Without the modification, forcing it in with a sight pusher could have caused centering issues during adjustment or even damaged the plate or the slide. • Compatibility Caveats: IMPORTANT: This plate is NOT compatible with all M&P Shield models. This is a critical point that potential buyers need to be aware of. Make sure you verify compatibility with your exact Shield model before ordering. I initially tried to install it on my M&P Shield 9mm and it would not fit. Overall: This ADE optic mounting plate could be a good option for mounting a red dot on your SW MP Shield or Shield EZ, especially if you are on a budget. However, be prepared for the possibility of needing to do some minor fitting/filing. More importantly, double-check the compatibility of the plate with your specific firearm model before purchasing to avoid frustration. Recommendation: • For experienced users only: If you are comfortable with minor gunsmithing tasks like filing or sanding metal, and you know this plate is compatible with your specific model, then it's worth considering. • For beginners, SEEK PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION: If you are new to firearm modifications, strongly consider having a qualified gunsmith install this plate. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to ensure proper fitment and prevent damage to your firearm. Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion based on my experience. Your mileage may vary. Remember to always prioritize safety when working with firearms. One person found this helpful

    ...our eyes get older.

Posted by transplant yooper on 10th Nov 2025

The fit was excellent. Removing my original sight difficult so I had to take it a G. store to get it on. No sharp edges to ruin my belly band holster or any abnormal pressure points. It's a Great choice for upgrading from old school sight to a red dot as our eyes get older.

Good if you're looking for a specific ".30 EZ super shooter" package.

Posted by queerarmorer on 10th Nov 2025

Will not fit the .380 EZ, FYI. If you're looking at this thinking it'll work for that you have to get that specific model's adapter. If you've ever assembled a slide before putting this on is super easy, installation is no more complicated than adding a rear sight. I HIGHLY recommend getting a red dot that has an integrated rear iron sight as this replaces your rear iron sight and you want something for if the battery dies. That said, the functionality of this is exactly what I expected and it's built very well so I'm neither annoyed with the build quality nor the value for money.

Great adapter plate for Red Dot sights!

Posted by Josh Poznich on 10th Nov 2025

This adapter plate made it easy to install red dot optics on my pistol. This thing fits perfectly into the dovetail slot for the rear sights. It's made from high quality, aircraft grade aluminum, and it's very precisely machined. This thing allows you to mount RMR or RMSc style optics. It's a very functional adapter and much cheaper than a new slide!

    Great for EZ380

Posted by Customer Review on 10th Nov 2025

I got this mount to put a red dot on my dad’s EZ380, and despite any comments otherwise, it does fit. The manufacturing and finish are solid, with a clean look that feels well-made. My only gripes are that it’s a bit bulky and raises the red dot higher than a direct slide mount would. That’s just part of the design, though, so it’s not something that can be fixed. We’ve shot it a little, and it’s holding up fine so far. Overall, it’s a reliable solution for adding a red dot to a gun without a cut slide.

ADE Dovetail Mount for EZ .30 SC

Posted by Matt Taylor on 5th Jun 2025

The fit feels ok when sliding it into place, but comes loose very quickly. I emailed them and was suggested to punch a hole so that the dovetail can grab the metal where the uneven portion is on the hole by the CEO of ADE? Like what?? This piece is specifically machined to fit this specific dovetail, why am I having to do any form of metal smithing? I don’t have the tools nor do I feel that is an appropriate or safe recommendation. Spend your money elsewhere.
