Ade Advanced Optics Crusader Shake Awake RD3-009-2 Red Dot Sights

First i would like to say unless your just rolling in money i imagine you have tried to find a bargain on red dots for your handgun. This product is EXACTLY what i was looking for, zeroed in about 10 minutes with a boresighter and shoots right on. Currently running on a Mark IV tactical , easily installed and adjusted, I’m curious about its durability if i move it to my gen 4 Glock 19. Overall a fantastic product and exactly what i was hoping for, kept zero today after first range trip running 400 rounds, highly recommend the purchase. A quick note, if you have astigmatism such as me, you need to google how it interacts with a red dot sight before you claim your product is faulty or sub par quality.

Worked like a charm I had to dial it in a little but for the price this holds up and the mount I bought for my glock 17 from them fits perfect. took me 5-10 mins to install add some blue loctite.the mount had some extra screws I just used the screws the sight came with. So I have back ups if I ever drop one. Knocking out the rear sights are easy I used the Allen key it came with and a rubber mallet to knock it out super easy. Shot 200 rounds through it help up really good didn't lose a zero. I'll update when I hit 600 rounds. Shot at 10 yards the last two photos speak for themselves I had some get away from me but that's my fault. Going to a different range to try st 25 next time keep you posted

A few weeks ago when I purchased this sight, I did so because I needed it fast and ...quite honestly, I couldn't afford the optics that I really wanted. Now I'm glad I couldn't spend $100 more on what appears to be the same unit,probably manufactured by ADE. Don't let the price tag fool you. This is a nicely made and durable piece of hardware. I mounted mine on a Ruger 10/22 and it's been twice bumped quite hard. It held zero through each incident. If your needs don't include magnification. I don't think there's a better red dot out there and certainly not in the same price range. Yeah...they can be a bit of a pain to sight in initially, but once it's done and the locking screws are in place I doubt it will ever need to be done again. Very satisfied...Used on my Glock 19 Gen 4 with the mount the recommend. I just took it to the range and put 200 rounds down range. It came in already spot on, no sighting necessary. I kept a 4" group at 40 feet.... By the end of 200 rounds, the sight did not come loose at all or malfunction in any way. BE WARNED! It does not include any form of instructions. That's not a big deal if you're good at putting stuff together. I figured it out pretty quick with that add-on plate thing that you have to use for this on a handgun. I went all-out and followed online guides to use blue Loctite and everything. Most difficult part for me was removing the original sights. I destroyed them on accident, since I don't have the right tools for it. I drove a flathead screwdriver right through the sights...oops. Following the recommended Loctite and other mounting instructions, you shouldn't have any issues!

So I was able to install this on my Glock 35 using a rear dovetail replacement bracket in about 5 minutes with minimal effort. I did order a sight pusher/removal tool to remove the old iron sights, but it was only about 40 dollars, and the mounting plate was less than 20, so with the sight I'm at about 120 dollars. So far I'm pleased with the results. I took it to my local range today. It took about 40 rounds before I felt I had zeroed the sight properly for 7 meters/21 feet, but after that it was pretty on target. I was hitting bulls eyes at 21 feet about 70 percent of the time and all shots were in the bulls eye, or first ring outside the bulls eye at that range. I noticed some of the reviews mentioned that it was great out of the box, but lost function after a few trips to the range, so I'll update if I have any of those issues, but so far no complaints. I fired off about 200 rounds this trip, and will do the same in another week or so.

The best $50 I ever spent on a sight. I wanted a red dot for my S&W Victory 22 but wanted to try one of the less costly brands before making the big plunge into one of the big names costing several hundred dollars. I am very glad I bought this Red Dot for $49.99 on Amazon. Installed the sight on Saturday and took it to the outdoor range today, 9/5. Loaded up with CCI Stinger .22's and the very first shot with the AAO Red Shot was right in the center of the bullseye at 10 yards. Perfect, spot on right out of the box. Did not even have to dial it in. Shot over 200 rounds at the range and the sight stayed true on target all day. In addition to the sight you receive a nice plastic cover to protect it when not in use, a spare battery (2 included one already installed), an allen wrench, a jeweler's screwdriver to make windage and elevation adjustments, microfibre cleaning cloth, a metal "coin" to open the battery compartment and instructions. I cannot speak about the long term durability of this sight but my single day at the range made me very happy. Nice addition to my S&W Victory with threaded barrel, Tandem Koss Compensator and Tandem Koss Halo charging handle.

I've tried a bunch of (admittedly cheap) red dot sights, and in every case I've been trying to sight through a big red blotch. I have a fairly high prescription glasses (around -4) and I think it has something to do with chromatic aberration of my glasses: If I take a pic of most of those sights, the dot is perfect. Anyway, for whatever reason the effect is much, MUCH less apparent with this, I can resolve it down to a pretty clean dot. Note that when you turn it on it's at full strength, which makes it a big messy splotch for me. I have to click the button again, which takes it to it's lowest setting, in order to see it well as a dot. Finally: I've noticed some reviews saying "what is the little o-ring for?". Well, all your whining may have paid off, because I didn't get a little o-ring. I can, however, tell you what it would have been for: all 4 adjustment screws (windage and elevation, and a lock screw for each) are resistive screws, with little o-rings round them and a locking ring creating turning resistance to keep them from moving. Most people are unlikely to attempt to turn that locking ring: it would take a micro-pin-spanner, or more likely some clever screwing around. It's a very small ring.

Heard a lot of negative stuff about this. Get the utg super slim mount for a lower profile this fits perfectly. Looks good is snug. And stays on zero. Maybe the earlier models were cheaper? Seems pretty solid with lock tight. the ade green laser I have is much brighter than my crimson trace, and holds zero just as well. So far it’s a good cheap alternative if your looking to add a little something. If I were shooting competition obviously I’d go with vortex, but so far this works

Surprising little red dot. Is doctor footprint which needed for a random mount had laying around. This dot has seen rain, snow, heat, and hammer… it’s still running strong and holds zero not matter what I’ve thrown at it.

Easy to mount and zero in. It’s holding a true MOA of 2-3 sighted at 30 feet. I’m impressed, so far. And that’s not easily accomplished when it comes to my fire arms.

Mounted on my G17 using the Ade pistol mount. Screwed directly into mount. Very secure. Good: Very affordable. Easy to turn on and adjust brightness. Red dot is fairly large but works well for target acquisition. For best results, adjust the brightness to the lowest tolerable setting needed to see red dot on target. Used the optic for day and night shooting. Held up to 500 rounds without a change in zero. I even dropped my unloaded weapon on a wood table a few times without any visible damage to the optic. Bad: It has a taller profile than other red dots on the market. (but 1/3 the price) Overall, I am satisfied. Turned my G17 into a carry optic. The red dot is easy to use. **I will update my review if I break it during normal usage.

Originally bought this optic for my Glock 22 .40 S&W, it was one of the main results when I searched for Glock Reflex Sights, Ade also makes like a mount plate you can put right on the rear sight, so I figured just go with the same manufacturer for both. Well I never got to add this to my Glock, Mostly because I wanted to learn how to shoot with it without the help of the reflex sight, I just wanted to have the sight available when I was ready. So something else happened that ruined those plans, another reflex sight I had bought for my shotgun completely sucked and failed, and I really wanted to use a sight with the shotgun and I had this one sitting there so I decided to use it on my Remington 870 Express Shotgun. I had a bore sight laser for the shotgun to calibrate the optic but to my surprise the optic was centered right out of the box, I did nothing more than take it out of the box and mount it on the picatinny rail saddle mount on my shotgun, took it to the range and shot some slugs with it, it was awesome, It was so fun and easy to shoot with, Im totally satisfied with this item, Im going to buy another one, this time a green dot sight for my Micro Roni. Really awesome product, and the price is fantastic. Update: It is now 1/19/2019 when I write this. The red dot is still bright still on its first battery. I used this sight frequently, I have used it on my remington 870 express shotgun 12 gauge, then I put it on my Mini-14, took it off when I put a scope and trasferred it to my Glock Micro Roni Carbine Kit, it was shooting .40 S&W & 9MM out of the roni, decided to put it back on the mini 14 which is .223, and now its back on my remington 870 I have bought about 4 high quality red dots, 2 from vortex and 2 from holosun each at least $175 more expensive than this one, those are great as well, mostly because people would give me a hard time about this ade red dot, but honestly there was no need, but I dedicate an optic red dot to each rifle and pistol I have been moving this one around as I substitute it with pricier ones, but this one is still perfect and of comparable performance, but if your on a budget or you just want to test out a red dot and see if they work for you, this is a good start, but even beyond that, its a really good quality, Im surprised its not more popular, this has found its final resting place on the same shotgun I posted my original review about, if your gonna buy another ADE red dot, I suggest you go with this one. They have a green dot one I bought, which is excellent, but I think this one is better. You cant go wrong.
