When you first receive the red dot. It has a picatinny mounting plate pre-assembled. Please use allen wrench provided to take out the 2 hex screws on the top behind the glass frame. It will disconnect the red dot from the picatinny mounting plate. You will then be able to attach the red dot to a variety of handgun mounting plates that are sold separately. There are many popular handguns on the market, due to the size difference of the handguns, each mounting plate is slightly different in dimensions. There are also many manufacturers making a variety of handgun plates that replace the rear sight, including ADE, Lakeline LLC, EGW, and Outerimpact. The screw comes with our red dot come with a pair of M3x6mm screws to connect to the pre-assembled picatinny mounting base. Some mounting plates made by other companies for specific handgun might need a longer screw such as M3x8mm or shorter screw such as M3x4mm depends on the thickness of the mounting plate/adapter. If you can’t get the screw to work properly, we recommend going to a local hardware store such as ACE Hardware to get the right size.

This green dot is really great and does what it's supposed to do for my Smith and Wesson MP 40

ADE Huracan RD3-006A Green
I received my sight and it was packaged very well, the directions were good and the sight was easy to setup after I changed the battery out. The sight was put on a 20 ga. shotgun and it held up fine after 6 shots of full power 20 ga turkey loads. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 so far is the supplied battery was dead which was aggravating but luckily I had another one on hand. I don't think the battery needs to be installed in the sight since the directions are so clear on how to install the battery. I turned the off and on several times to make sure the sight back to the last setting. The sight performed as well as I expected. The green dot was clear once I took it outside during the sight in process.

Good price for what it is
Good clear dot, green seems to work on all targets in USPSA format. The windage and elevation adjustments are somewhat different than other sights. Instructions indicate to loosen the lock screws and make sight adjustments, then tighten. We found it was easier to use a bore sighter to coincide the dots at thirty feet. Then set the lock screws. The sight win/ele screws are loose after tightening the locks. No indication of which lock screw is for which sight adjustment so we kept both loose when making an adjustment. Battery change requires that the two mounting screws need to be removed. Unless you epoxy the wedge that slides into the rear sight dovetail there maybe a re-sighting to do after battery change. Most sights can be used to operate the slide by pushing back on the sight. After some uses, we found we were either turning the sight off or changing the brightness setting with the front on/off/brightness switch. A few times we have found the sight off and wonder if there is an auto time out feature there. The sight has held zero very well in over 500 rounds so far. If you can deal with some possible quirks it is a good value for under fifty dollars.

Works on canik tp9sfx
I had to file down the front plastic power button housing all the way to the rubber button (voiding warranty). But this fits my canik with the canik provided #1 plate and screws! I bore sighted with Lazer (red on green) and shot about 30 rounds today. Very impressed. Also I slammed and shook the gun around alot to see if this thing would die. It's solid. For $39... It gets 5 stars!
