    • RD3-011 is compatible with handguns with mounting plates made for Trijicon RMR ONLY. It has the same footprint/cut/mounting plate as Trijicon RMR. We recommend OUTERIMPACT brand that their mounting plates are compatible with Trijicon RMR.
    •
      • This sight does not fits (set inside the grove/cut)  the slide that is custom milled for trijicon rmr.  This sight is larger than rmr in size. It only fits mounting plate that replace the rear sight, or the plate set above the slide for trijicon rmr footprint/screw pattern.
  •
    • This ADE RD3-011 comes with a picatinny mounting plate. When you first receive the red dot. It has a picatinny mounting plate pre-assembled. Please use the allen wrench provided to take out the 2 hex screws on the top behind the glass frame. It will disconnect the red dot from the picatinny mounting plate. You will then be able to attach the red dot to a variety of handgun mounting plates that are sold separately. This sight can only be mounted on optic plate that REPLACE the the rear sight, and sit above the slide. It does not fit the pre-cut on the optics ready pistol due to the :larger than traditional" micro red dot size. We recommend to use OUTERIMPACT optic plates following the trijicon rmr footprint.
    • We have made several improvements since it's initial release in 2016. We have made it more durable to withstand recoil and improved the ability to hold zero. Designed in Oregon. Pistol require special mounting plates that are sold separately.
    •
    • This sight is slightly bigger than other micro handgun red dots such Vortex Venom. Actual size is. 2.25" x 1.4" x 1.27". It gives up to 2 times bigger window than other micro red dots. It can be used on a wide range of rifles, shotguns and pistols.
    •
    • 3 MOA Dot,Light and Compact.Operates with CR2032 battery(included).RD3-011 is different than other ADE models such as RD3-006,RD3-009,RD3-012,RD3-013,RD3-015 that have the same handgun mounting footprint as Vortex Venom,Burris Fastfire,Meopta, Docter,Insight. Ade does NOT make mounting plate for trijicon rmr pattern/footprint. All Ade handgun plates are for Vortex style footprint.
    •
    • Comes with a removable picatinny mounting base. Lens is over 1/2 thick and made of impact resistant optical grade glass. The NV button is special LED red dot that is invisible to human eyes, it is only visible through a night vision device.

    Simple, Solid, and Repeats Well

Posted by Nina H on 24th Dec 2025

Bought this as my first red dot and I’m impressed. The elevation and windage adjustments are smooth and predictable. I tried it on different mounting plates including my Outerimpact setup — everything lined up with no fuss. Definitely feels like a sight you can trust for serious drills.

    Excellent Backup to Rifle Optics

Posted by Sean L on 24th Dec 2025

I use this on my pistol when I practice transitioning from rifle to sidearm. The reticle is small enough for precision but bright enough for fast shots. Easy to mount and stays put even with frequent take-offs and re-mounts.

    Impressive Clarity in All Conditions

Posted by Rachel on 24th Dec 2025

Glass clarity on this unit is excellent — shots feel more natural and quick acquisition is easy even when the sun is at weird angles. Took this on a windy day and didn’t experience any weird dot jumps or shifting.

Posted by Worked Flawlessly with My Outerimpact Mount on 24th Dec 2025

I had an Outerimpact optic plate already and this sight dropped right in. No weird fitment or shims needed. The dot stayed centered after a few hundred rounds and the push buttons are firm so they don’t accidentally change on recoil.

Reliable Sight for Everyday Carry Practice

Posted by Lily on 24th Dec 2025

I’ve been running this on my Beretta for everyday carry drills and it hasn’t let me down. Zero stickiness is great — I take it off for cleaning and put it back on without having to re-zero. The brightness settings adjust quickly when the sun shifts.

    Great Value with Minimal Hassle

Posted by Marcus V on 24th Dec 2025

For what this costs, you get a quality optic. Installation was straightforward and zeroing took just a few minutes. The battery compartment is clever — easy swap without removing from the gun. Definitely feels more premium than other red dots in this price range.

The windage/elevation adjustments are easy to fine-tune — I was able to get it dead on at 50 yds within a handful of clicks. The night-vision compatible mode is a nice bonus for low-light training without blasting the reticle.

Perfect Balance of Size and Performance

Posted by Leon M on 24th Dec 2025

Not too big, not too small — perfect for what I need. The field of view is wide enough that I’m not tunnel-visioning, and the dot clarity at all brightness levels is good. Also fits nicely under my suppressor height sights when needed.

Easy to Install, Works with Aftermarket Plates”

    Posted by Sophia T “ on 24th Dec 2025

I was hesitant about mounting aftermarket optics on my pistol, but this one worked great with my Outerimpact plate and kept its zero after repeated shooting sessions. Also appreciate the low-light brightness settings for indoor ranges.

    Solid Build and Clear Reticle

Posted by Jared K on 24th Dec 2025

This is a rugged little sight. It feels like it can take a beating in the field. I took it out on a dusty range day and the lens coatings still gave me a good view with minimal glare. The click adjustments are satisfyingly tactile.

    “Excellent for Defensive Pistol Work”

Posted by Amanda R on 24th Dec 2025

After switching from iron sights, this red dot made a big difference in my draw and presentation drills. The 3 MOA dot is crisp and easy to pick up fast. The controls are intuitive, and battery life seems solid — I haven’t had to swap it yet even after several range trips.

“Great Red Dot — Fits Outerimpact Plate Perfectly”

Posted by Chris on 24th Dec 2025

I mounted this on my Beretta using an Outerimpact optic plate and it lined up perfectly with no wiggle. Zeroed quickly at 25 yds and stayed tight after a full box of ammo. The glass is clear and I like how the brightness buttons are easy to find even with gloves on.

    RD3-011 and RD3-015

Posted by Brad Basil on 11th Feb 2021

I did a lot of research before ordering the ADE RD3-015. Chosen for the wide field of view, easy adjustments and battery access, with an adjustable Red Dot visible in front of eye on AR15, and also at arm's length on SW40cal. I went from bore sighting to shooting 1/4in.placement on center at range after a few adjustments that was impossible with the micro Red Dot that came mounted on my Northstar 3x8 scope. I threw it away and put the 011 on it, and the more narrow profile ADE RD3-015 on the pistol and they are great for fast target acquisition.

Mounted on AK pistol, holds zero! Perfect size for mini red dot! Did some custom work on mpap, like mount a rail on hinged dust cover, between iron sights! Works perfect!

A bit bigger than the typical mini red-dot sights

Posted by Ken on 3rd Dec 2016

As said in the headline, this sight is bigger than the typical mini red-dot sights. This isn't a complaint, its just to point out that it is larger and probably not the most suitable for a handgun. However, for a rifle/carbine, this is a good match. I mounted one on a Hi-Point 9mm carbine and its a perfect match for cheek weld. The window is also larger than the typical mini red-dot which also makes it a good match for the carbine. I would estimate the size somewhere right between a typical mini red-dot and an Eotech. When mounted, the highest point of the window sits about 1-5/8 inches tall when measured from the top of the picatinny rail. The sight is roughly 2-1/2 inches long and about 1-5/8 inches at it's widest point. The on/off and brightness are controlled by a single button. Hold the button down for a second or two and the sight turns on. Short presses of the same button cycle it through the 6 brightness settings. Holding the button down for a second or two turns the sight back off. One neat feature is that the sight returns to the most recently used brightness setting when turned back on. the sight has a second button which operates just like the first however it controls the "NV" (night vision) modes. In a dark enough room I can see that the NV mode is working but I don't have night vision optics to test and evaluate this feature. The dot appears to be somewhere around 1 or 2 MOA with a little bit of flaring but not bad. Part of that flaring is likely my aging eyes. Another cool feature is the ability to change batteries without dismounting the sight which is a common necessity with many of the smaller red-dot sights. The elevation and windage adjustments have "click" type detents which to me, aid in sighting in. This also does away with the need for locking screws that are often times found on the smaller red-dot sights. In my opinion, if you're looking for a sight for your rifle/carbine then this is an excellent option. If it's for your handgun then I would consider something a bit smaller and lighter. About the only downside is the lack of a lens cover of any type for use when stored.

    Built solid

Posted by Unknown on 21st Jul 2016

Have not fired with this mounted yet, but just from handling I think itll be nore than fine. It is built like a high quality waterproof sight. Solid, but lightweight. Red dot is plenty bright and shuts off after an hour. As long as it holds up this is a bargain.
